Part 90

“I’ll keep in touch with you,” the fox reassured her, “but I don’t want Sonic to know where I am. When I feel the time is right I’ll come back, but I’ll only stay if he promises to lay off.”

“I don’t want you to go!” she cried.

“I’ll be back! Don’t worry! Here.”

“What’s this?”

“It’s a special communicator I made. Through these we can see each other and talk whenever and wherever.”

“Amazing! You are brilliant Tails!” She kissed his cheek and he blushed.

“If I have an emerald handy, I can transport small items with it.”

“Yep! So if I find any rare flowers I’ll make a crown and send it to you!”

“Hee hee!” Cream sobered again, “When do you leave?”

“Well, it seems like a lot of people are leaving tonight… so I will too.”

“Who all is leaving?” asked the bunny.

“Tabby and the Rogues, I know.”

“I’ll miss you.”

“I’ll miss you!” Tails made sure Sonic wasn’t looking then kissed Cream on the cheek.

The party went on all day. The Sonic Underground had something for Silver, Shadow, and Amy.

“Here!” Manic held out an odd pendant to Amy. Sonic had one for Silver and Sonia’s was for Shadow.

“Are these-“

“Are you serious!?”

“Yep!” Sonia grinned. “We thought you would like them!”

“Yeah! Sis and I took a special trip to the Oracle’s place to get them.” Manic grinned. Shadow, Silver, and Amy activated the medallions. Amy’s took the shape of a microphone. Silver’s was a pair of dj records. Shadow had an electric guitar.

“Thanks guys!”

“No prob! Now you can be part of the Sonic Underground!”

Tabby had managed to corner Blaze and give her a gift.

“Hey princess!” He said and hugged her from behind.

“Oh, Tabby!”

“I got you something.”

“What? Oh my word! It’s beautiful!” she gasped. It was a jeweled flower pin.

“I thought you would like it!”

“Where did you get it?!”

“An abandoned jewelry shop that the Geos had destroyed.” Tabby told her, “This piece survived and the purple amethyst made me think of you. So I took it and polished it up.”

“Oh Tabby! Thank you!” Blaze then took off Tabby’s electric gem and put the pin in it’s place, “Here Tabby.”

“Thanks.” He pulled her close and kissed her.
